Admission Criteria

At MNP Public School, we welcome students from all backgrounds who are excited to learn and grow in a progressive environment that values both tradition and modern education. Our admission criteria are designed to ensure that every child is placed in the right grade level, with appropriate support, to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Admission Criteria for Pre-Primary (Nursery, LKG, UKG)

Age Requirement:
  • Nursery: The child should be 3+ years old by March 31st of the admission year.
  • LKG: The child should be 4+ years old by March 31st.
  • UKG: The child should be 5+ years old by March 31st.
Interaction/Play Assessment:
  • For Pre-Primary admissions, there is no formal test. Instead, the school conducts a fun, informal interaction with the child and parents to understand the child’s readiness for early schooling.

Admission Criteria for Primary (Class I to V)

Age Requirement:
  • Class I: The child should be 6+ years old by March 31st.
Document Requirements:
  • Submission of the previous academic year’s report card.
  • A Transfer Certificate (if applicable).

Admission Criteria for Middle School (Class VI to VIII)

Document Requirements:
  • Submission of the previous two years’ academic report cards
  • A Transfer Certificate from the previous school. (if applicable)
Aptitude Assessment:
  • Students applying for middle school may need to take an aptitude assessment. This helps the school understand the student’s academic strengths and areas for improvement.
Interaction Session:
  • An informal interaction session may be held to better understand the student’s needs and ensure they are well-suited for the M N P Public School curriculum.
